Life is inherently simple
Life is inherently simple. By virtue of our attachment to and identification with the mind, we have created an unnecessarily complex world.

Life was never meant to be lived from the mind. You cannot notice - let alone appreciate - the beauty that surrounds you while you are consumed with the endless dramas of the mind. The key to a simpler and more peaceful life is to be fully immersed in the present moment.
There is no better place to cultivate conscious presence than in nature. Nature is Truth. Nature is the ever-present reminder of Life's inherent simplicity. No matter how "busy" I may believe myself to be, I always leave space in my daily schedule for nature time. The above photo was taken a few days ago at my local park. I had every excuse not to go outside that day; it was freezing cold, icy and slippery underfoot. However, I was blessed with the uplifting sight of two pairs of swans on the lake upon my arrival and the most glorious sunset just before my departure.
There are those who say to me, "I don't know how you find time to walk in nature every day", to which I respond: I don't know how you find time not to! It is an essential part of a happy and healthy life. Nature connection relieves stress, boosts our energy levels and brings new, creative ideas and inspirations into our conscious awareness. Nature connection frees up mental space, allowing us to make even more of the rest of the day.
It is the simplicity of the Truth that blinds us. We are convinced that Life is a complex riddle to be solved. No, the secret is simple: just Be Here Now.
